Files are returning a 404 page not found error.
The FileFront tech team are working on this as we speak and hopefully things will be fixed very soon.

The community links on every Network site has been compromised and they redirected to a illegal warez site.
We have corrected this but unfortunately we could not recover the links to restore them. As a result all of the links have been deleted to protect the people who sent the original links into us.
While this could be seen to be a set back we are taking the view that although this has caused all the staff some extra work it is still a good time for a fresh start as some of the links were probably dead ones.
Some site managers have already started restoring known links on there sites
We would like you to either resubmit any link you had on your chosen site and submit new ones.

The good people at Clanwarz have kindly donated a 100 slot Ventrilo server to us all here. The server is there for all FileFront patrons including the Network, Forums and main site.
It gives a great opportunity to get know each other a little better and maybe even get together in game.
As you have probably noticed in the Left menu on most (soon to be all) sites the new Ventrilo section. You can join the server by having Ventrilo installed and user name set. Then simply click the link in the left menu and join the channel that want.
If you wist to set it up manually then here are the server details
Ip / host name: nyc.clanwarz.com
Port: 4220 <<< important as it is not the default port.

Have you ever been looking over your favourite game site and thought that you could really help out ?
If the answer is yes then we would like to hear from you. We are now recruiting staff for all sites and hopefully some new ones.
Some of our sites are fully staffed at the moment but don't let that stop you from applying to join our very friendly team here.
If your preferred site is fully staffed you will still be contacted to see if you could help out on a different site. We will still pass your details on to the site manager for that site just incase they need a extra pair of hands.
So what do we need from you to join us. Well not much really to start with.
First you must be 16 or over and have regular Internet access.
You must have good understanding of English (this is for news items and so on)
You must own the game for the site/s you are applying for, with the ability to run custom content (for testing submitted files)
If your application is accepted then you will also be required to register on our forums and visit the staff section at least once a week as updates and requests are posted there.
To apply simply copy the below template into a email and send it of to network@filefront.com
Make sure you fill out the games section including the ones that we do not have sites for at the moment.
I am pleased to announce a few promotions for the network.
Mr.Funsocks, the lovable, huggable Network Administrator has been promoted to Asst. Network Manager and will become my right hand dealing with issues that arise on FileFront's game sites.
Goody10 of soldier of fortune files has been promoted to Network Administrator. FFxStalkerx of stalker files has been promoted to Network Administrator. Guyver3212 of WoWFiles has been promoted to Network Administrator.
The above three have shown fierce determination in ensuring that the network thrives and pushes forward. When it came to the need to add some fresh faces to fill in those ranks, it certainly wasn't easy to sift through all of the staff who easily deserve such recognition of their hard work, but these three came out on top and I'm sure you will see great things happen with them lurking about.
Congrats to all of you. Each and every one of you has earned this and should be proud!

Roleplaying maps are my favorite type because, well, I'm a roleplayer! How about that? I've reviewed a few RP maps in the past and most of them were somewhat lacking in the... pretty department. It seems that roleplaying mappers just find a map and shove in as much RP content as possible without trying to make it look all that pretty; fortunately that's not the case in this map and the mapper has managed to make a military base, something that COULD have been a bunch of ugly gray boxes everywhere, into something pleasing.

It's that time of the week again, and I am back! Before getting into the nitty gritty of the Insider, I want to take a moment and thank all of you for your continued support and presence! All of the staff here are just as happy that FileFront has weathered this storm as much as you, the community is, and we are greatful for your return! As mentioned before, the news of the closing of this Network, along with FileFront.com and the FileFront Forums took everyone, from the highest Administrator, to the newest member by surprise and I'm sure I speak for all of the staff when we say a big Thank you to our benifactors...who, incedently, are the original founders of everything FileFront! I guess it's true that eventully, everything comes full circle. I would ask that you have patience with the Site Staff as they continue to pick up the pieces and get back into the groove of things, it takes time to get a hold of everyone and get everything caught up again. If you have uploaded a file shortly before the lock-out, or even after the lockout, or anytime prior to 7 days ago, you may be contacted to once again send it in (or, to play it safe, feel free to re-upload it!) the reason for this is that files only have a life in the queue of one week, after that, they are automatically purged. We do apologize for this inconvenience, but we cannot be held accountable for this.
In other Network related news, because we are no longer under a corporate thumb, things such as fixes and bugs are being corrected at a phenominal rate! A huge pat on the back and a hearty Kudos must be sent out to our resident tech guy Svaj and although I have not heard directly, I'm sure our very own Network Administrator: Ronnie has had alot to do with the fixes as well! Good Job! Left 4 Dead - A game to rival Resident Evil
Zombies have always freaked me out as a kid. Then along came Resident Evil and that worsened my aniexty of the living dead. But then one night I happened to watch Return of the Living Dead. It showed running zombies...running zombies!?, if zombie apocalypses weren't bad enough already, they make them fast and strong. I inherently hate zombies now.. (I am still planning for my quick reaction in the event of the impending zombie infestation). And that is what Left 4 Dead is...a zombie infestation with hordes of those zombies..yes they run, they are ferocious and they come from every which way....
The story is of a group of four people called the survivors who are attempting to escape a city during an apocalyptic zombie infestation! Left 4 Dead is a FPS game which has 3 main modes - The single player mode, 4-player co-op mode and an 8 player verses mode. In single player and co-op mode you have 4 "campaigns" to choose from - No Mercy, Death Toll, Dead Air and Blood Harvet. No Mercy is set downtown in the city where you have to crawl through alleyways, apartments and a hospital in order to reach a rooftop to catch the rescue helicopter. Death Toll is set in suburbia (which is frightening even without hordes of zombies) and involves mowing through driveway after driveway in order to reach a port and hitch a ride on a boat to safety. Dead Air is set in a district of a city with many office blocks leading to a plane ride to freedom at the international airport. Blood Harvest is set in the countryside outside the city where the army have setup an evac area for survivors - fighting through trees, dense hedging and farm houses during the witching hours is extremely creepy.
The survivors are a small band of diverse people (usually is the case during zombie apocalypses) bound together in the face of overwhelming odds. It features Louis - the excitable office worker/pencil pusher archetype, Bill the cynical old war vet (who still wears his beret, guy seriously needs to move on), Francis the bar thug clad in a sleeveless leather jacket (like a mouthy thug would be any use in a zombie infestation right?) and Zoe, the cute spunky college kid whom seems to revel in the battle against the infected hordes. It's a clichèd bunch but during these infestations you generally never get a company of elite marines armed with P-90's in LAV's, so you have to make do with the loosely cohesive band of civvies.
Fighting for the forces of the evil infected are a wide range of zombies. The common infected are the normal fast agile and weaker zombies usually a wide range of civilians and soldiers who attack en masse if alarmed, thus they become the horde. Other more advanced zombies, due to the level of infection/mutation are harder to kill and are a pain in the backside when they attack with the horde. Each of these special mutated Zombies have special attacks - The hunter is a hooded kid, you know the ones that hang around street corners, this zombie attacks from distance and usually from behind. It can scare the crap out of you. The Smoker has a large far reaching tongue that grabs you from a distance and drags you off away from team mates. Killing a smoker releases gas which obscures vision. The Boomer is a fat bloated zombie who if vomits on you will blind you and attract more zombies to your position - not nice getting puked on. The Tank is a massive bulking zombie who is hard to take down just don't get cornered by it. The final special zombie is the witch, a sobbing female zombie who if alerted by sound, lights or shot at will attack you and if you don't kill her you will be dead fast - it usually takes a few team mates to kill her - just ignore her if you can unless you like being chased down by a crazy b*tch!
Gameplay is fun especially with friends on co-op. Alot of genuinely freaky, scary and even funny things happen on co-op (like accidentally headshotting your friend with the pump action shotgun). Guns and ammo are limited to what you can get at the start of each weapon's station.. Melee attacking zombies is a good tactic as you wont alert more zombies and its fun literally knocking off heads from shoulders. No one ever has a P-90 or a UMP. always the shotgun and pistols. Molotov cocktails and pipe bombs are the heavy weapons in the game, its fun burning hordes of zombies with petrol in a bottle. You start off with pistols, unlimited ammo for pistols, and even pick up another pistol to dual well. When mowed down by a zombie dual weilded pistols are not only necessary but fun. As you go along to various checkpoints you can pick up more advanced weapons like the Uzi and a pump action shotgun among other pickups like health packs, pain pills and molotov cocktails/pipebombs. Keep an eye out for heavy weapons lying around the place (discarded by infected soldiers) such as the M16A3, the M4 Super 90 and a Ruger Hunting Rifle. The AI is controlled by the "Director" a system where enemies are choosen, placed and spawned relative to your skill set and situation decided by the Director, this maximized gameplay and adds a sense of realism so replaying missions are not monotonous after a while.
The game has its downsides, generally its lack of considerable fun when playing alone and can get boring after a while on co-op and SP. The campaigns are extremely realistic and tense but there should have been more..Even 7 or 8 would have been enough to warrant this game with game of the year tag but it has its weak points. Definitely worth having when your friends pop round for a gaming session!

FileFront is back, and with a little less baggage! ...That is to say, we are no longer minions of the mighty corporate "Man"; And it is exceptional to think that our saviours, the new owners, are actually the original Founders of FileFront! Talk about things coming full-circle! The usual faces are still around, both on the FileFront Network, as well as on the FileFront Forums:
You may have noticed that, since the 'change-over', fixes and the like are being made and implemented a whole lot quicker then before...as an example, the newest sites that were added: Crysis Warhead, LotR: Conquest, CoD5, etc, which were created under the old owners, were not functional and could not have content associated with them...now, under the new (old) owners, these sites were fixed and and now work perfectly!! What we would like to do now is ensure that the word spreads quickly and far & wide that FileFront is back! Better then ever, and improving with each passing day!! With your help, this could be made easier..if you notice a freind or clanmate of yours is no longer coming around, it would be appreciated if you give them a heads-up about our status! Although the changes in the Adminship for the FileFront Forums and the FileFront Network are not overly significant, there were indeed some changes:

From the name of this skin, I gather that this is supposed to be an ‘Elite Forces Cultist’ or something of the sort. Of course I could be completely wrong there, and the name might not mean anything of the sort, but that’s just the idea I got! At first glance, this looks like a rather plain grey Reborn / Cultist re-skin. But when you look closer you start to see the differences; the creepy grey eyes, the tribal tattoo’s on the face and the tribal patterns on the clothing.

CnC 3: New Uprising Unit Profile: The Reaper
Apoc added the- most probably- coolest unit I've seen in any RTS so far, the Soviet Reaper. Not only does it fire quite effective volleys of grenades and rockets, no sir, it also crushes vehicles by jumping on them. If this is not cool (And very reminiscent of Mario) then I'm in the wrong dimension. Hilariously, the power that renders this vehicle into a monster of epic pwnage is actually due to faulty hydraulics.

As some of you may have noticed, we are experiencing a glitch with the mirroring of files, and this appears to be Network-wide; It appears as though everything goes through and the process is successful, however, the host site displays an error with the File ID. We hope that this is cleared up soon, but, we are in the midst of the weekend, so at this moment it is anybodies guess as to the ETA for the fix. This issue not only includes files, but also new Polls, File of the Week, Featured Files...
The issue has been reported to everyone that needs to be alerted, and a few that don't...I even went across the street and told my neighbor...he was no help though Rest assured that when this issue is corrected, this News post and it's header will be edited.

First of all, as he states in the readme, the balance has indeed been kept. But with this mod most weapons(from both factions) do far more damage than their original counterparts.

Equipped with powerful weaponry and the trade mark yellow colouring, going against one of these in anything smaller than a warbird is a daunting prospect... unless you have another Imperial Sovereign.

Hi Im Chris Knight, aka Amagosa987, a staff moderator at Star Trek Legacy Files. I havent been around long but I am an established artist and modeller, and have created many images for use on the site. As well as this I am on a degree that specifically looks at CG design and animation. Such examples include starship design and other hard surface modelling.
Star Trek Legacy Files is a place with some really enthusiastic developers who love what they do. They also are very willing to help others come into the fold which gives me the reason to think Legacy files (while not the biggest site) is one of the best maintained sites on Filefront.
I usually lurk around on the forum, I am at my final Year at university so work is a time consuming occupation. Although Id chuck it in the bin for filefront if I could, its much more enjoyable, I think you'd all agree. PROCRASTINATION FOR THE NATION!!!!
In association with my good friend AcidFluxxBass we have released The Whitestar from Babylon 5 for star trek legacy. Modelled by me, textured and imported by Acid. We hope to release another fairly possible yet extreamly ugly vessel in the form of the Enterprise J featured in one of the furture timeline Enterprise episodes.
As well as this I am hoping to do some modelling for NewGens next total conversion mod KOBAL'S LAST GLEAMING (ill leave you to guess what its about lol.)

Well gents looks like we have some more info on BF 1943; Perhaps the most original feature that we spotted in BF 1943 was the bombing runs. Initiated whenever you manage to get your character hunkered down in one of the level's bunkers, these bombing runs see players taking control of a squadron of three bombers which are o their way to the island.

This is Ranen: Platforms, by Ty294. As you can probably guess from the title, it's much like "Bespin: Platforms", but a lot larger, and with unique units, and a much darker setting. I much liked and disliked - in equal measures - the fog hanging over the platforms as they gave the enemy and AI allies the element of surprise, but the player may have trouble attacking in fighters when in the fog.

Okay, so just imagine... Obi Wan is engaged in an epic duel with Barne-... I mean Desann. They fight for hours on end, parrying and slashing and waving their hands in the air, shouting the same cutting remark countless times over. They're nearly to the point of exhaustion when on the horizon who shows up but... BROLY. He takes Desann and Obi Wan and rips their heads and hands off, and then proceeds to slam each of the body parts into the other person with such force that they instantly fuse with the body. Thus, Obi Wan now has Desann's head and hands, thanks to Broly.

Bridge Commander: Wraith Cruiser
Here is the Wraith Cruiser as seen from Stargate Atlantis, this ship is armed with numerous energy weapons but not as many as the far larger hive ship. This ship also holds upto 8 Wraith Darts which can be launched using the Shuttle Launching Framework. The ship itself is fairly detailed, and also fairly accurate when compared to the show. The hardpoint is also fairly accurate mainly because it has no shields.

Here is a Peugeot 205 GTI Version, a car first built 26 years ago (and stopped in 1997). The car is fairly accurate when compared to the real version of the car, although does look slightly blocky around the front of the car.

One last strategy for the Goblins before we switch over to our next faction, this game is between Dwarves and Goblins, which might I add is the hardest for Goblins due to the fact how Goblins have such low health and how strong Dwarves are.

You have to defend the city against waves of Uruks, Mumakil's, Catapults and more minions of evil.

Jedi Knight III: Timeshift_Beta_Suit
Timeshift... *drools* I've never actually got around to buying the game myself, but I have always thought the Timeshift suit looked extremely awesome. This re-skin definately does the character justice. It features very good textures, nice shaders and a few different variants of the suit, including one helmet with the visor removed, revealing the face.

Bridge Commander: Generic Bridge Module (Early TNG)
This is version two of my Early TNG Generic bridge. Changes include some small bugfixes, lightmapping changes (so it will be a bit brighter) and general cosmetics. I have also taken the liberty of replacing the RED ALERT display to something that looks a bit more like what we saw in the various films.
